An early learning centre, a business, a society and a statutory board each carry different rules, different calendars and different people to keep informed. I've worked inside all four, so I understand the pressures before we even start.
No explaining the basics. No twenty questions. Find your sector and see what I take off your plate.
Admin help is easy to find. Admin help that already understands your obligations is not - and the gap shows up in the details.
Different rules
The Education Review Office and Ministry of Education for a centre, the Companies Act for a business, the Incorporated Societies Act 2022 for a society, statutory reporting for a board. The wrong template is easy to spot - and expensive to fix.
Different rhythms
Term dates, month-end, the AGM, the board cycle. Every sector runs to its own calendar, and a missed date costs something different in each.
Different people
Parent committees, owners, volunteer committees and appointed members all need different things, by different dates. Knowing who needs what is half the job.
Better to hand it to someone who has already been there.
Different rules, different calendars - the same standard. Answers and finished work, not twenty questions.
I do the unglamorous work properly - so the people I work with can get on with theirs.
02Find your world
Four sectors. One dependable pair of hands.
Each sector has its own page with the full detail and real client examples. Every task below is tagged to the service it draws on.
01
Sector 01
Early childhood education
If compliance and payroll keep pulling you off the floor…
Early learning is one of the most regulated sectors in the country, and the paperwork never stops - Education Review Office and Ministry of Education compliance, funding and attendance data, staff payroll and the parent committee. I take the admin and governance load so leaders can be with tamariki, not paperwork.
Where it gets heavy
Regulatory requirements that keep shifting
Funding and attendance data that has to be right
A parent committee that needs informed, minuted decisions
Hourly or monthly retainerPrices plus GSTBased in Te Puke - remote work throughout New Zealand

If the back office runs on whoever has a spare hour…
The back end of a business is relentless, and it rarely gets the attention it deserves - correspondence, contracts, HR paperwork, Xero, payroll, policies. It all has to happen so the business can function, and it's the first thing squeezed out when you're busy.
Where it gets heavy
Admin that lands on the owner
Payroll, GST and filings that cannot slip
Processes that live in one head
Hourly or monthly retainerPrices plus GSTBased in Te Puke - remote work throughout New Zealand
What I take off your plate
All handled

Compliance
Processes & handbooksPolicies and how-to guides so it doesn't live in one head.
Committee admin, AGMs, officer records, annual returns, financial reporting and minutes. The Incorporated Societies Act 2022 brought ongoing obligations for registered societies - I make sure they're met, so volunteers can get on with the reason the society exists.
Where it gets heavy
Volunteers short on time
Annual returns and records to keep current
AGMs and minutes that need to be right
Hourly or monthly retainerPrices plus GSTBased in Te Puke - remote work throughout New Zealand
What I take off your plate
All handled

Admin

Board papers, agendas, minutes, officer records and statutory filings. The governance cycle of a statutory board is specific and non-negotiable - I've been doing it long enough to know it cold, so members arrive prepared and decisions stick.
Where it gets heavy
A fixed governance cycle
Papers that must be ready early
Statutory reporting that does not move
Hourly or monthly retainerPrices plus GSTBased in Te Puke - remote work throughout New Zealand

Admin
Governance recordsRegisters, policies and manuals right-sized and current.
The admin, the books, the filings, the minutes. Engage one area or all four.
03Not on the list?
Your world isn't listed? It probably fits.
The work is often more similar than it looks. The same minutes, filings, books and systems apply across committees, trusts and clubs - and I'll tell you honestly if I'm not the right person.
Not stock logos - actual Bay of Plenty organisations I've held the records for, from an early learning centre to societies and boards. Each shows the services it draws on.
01
Secretary & Treasurer
Bledisloe Domain Park Board
Secretary and treasurer services for a statutory domain board - governance administration, agenda and meeting management, minute-taking, Xero reconciliation, financial reporting, and direct liaison with the board's appointed lessee.
Full governance and financial administration for a rural incorporated society under the Incorporated Societies Act - Xero bookkeeping, annual budgeting, committee secretary duties, and liaison with auditors, accountants and farming members.
Governance support and office management for an early childhood education centre - Education Review Office and Ministry of Education compliance, childcare management system data, staff payroll, systems development, operations audits, and Xero financial administration.
Regional project coordination and event delivery for the Bay of Plenty Ballance Farm Environment Awards - managing the annual program and Supreme Winners field day from planning through to execution, including stakeholder liaison and on-the-ground logistics.
Straight answers to the questions sector by sector.
Does it matter which sector I choose?
Not really. Each sector page shows the work that's most common in that world, but nothing is locked in. Plenty of organisations sit across two, like a society that employs staff. We'll scope it on the call.
I don't see my type of organisation. Can you still help?
Very likely. Trusts, charities, clubs, body corporates, professional associations and event committees all need the same minutes, filings, books and systems. Book a call and we'll check the fit - and I'll tell you honestly if I'm not the right person.
Do you know the rules that apply to my sector?
I work with the obligations that apply in each world - Education Review Office and Ministry of Education requirements for early learning, the Companies Act and employment paperwork for businesses, the Incorporated Societies Act 2022 for societies, and statutory reporting for boards. I'm not a lawyer, so legal advice stays with the right professional. I keep the records and filings right.
Do you work on site or remotely?
Both, mostly remote. I'm in Te Puke and work across the Bay of Plenty, with most work done remotely inside your own systems - and onsite when it counts, like a key meeting or AGM. I also support organisations remotely right across New Zealand.
What will it cost?
This is bespoke work, so pricing is scoped to your needs - no rigid packages. You choose flexible hourly support or a fixed monthly retainer, so you can budget with confidence. Price on application, in NZD plus GST. Nothing out of scope is ever billed by surprise.
Whether you run a centre, a business, a society or a board, if the admin, the books and the filings are taking time and focus you'd rather spend elsewhere, that's exactly what I pick up.
