About

The steady hands behind your business, board, committee, society.

I'm Kirsten Winter. For nearly thirty years I've done the careful, behind-the-scenes work that keeps regional New Zealand businesses, boards and committees running - the admin, the compliance, the books, the systems that quietly hold it all together.

Who You'd Be Working With

The back-office load, taken off your plate.

Hi, I'm Kirsten Winter,

I've owned and run my own businesses since 1998, and for most of that time the work people have valued most is the unglamorous kind - the admin that piles up, the compliance that has to be right, the books that need reconciling, the filings and records and systems that keep everything running when you'd rather be doing the work you actually started the business for.

Through Compleation Limited I take that load off small and medium businesses, boards and committees who need dependable support without the overhead of a full-time hire. I'm not a corporate consultancy handing over a 200-page manual and leaving.

I take on the day-to-day admin, financial, compliance and governance work, and I do it month in, month out.

You deal with me directly, every time. Nothing is farmed out to a stranger, and nothing is left half-done.

Why I Do This Work

To do the unglamorous work properly - so the people I work with can get on with theirs.

Directors and business owners shouldn't be formatting minutes or chasing filings. My job is to take that weight off their desks, get it right the first time, and let them lead.

The realisation

You noticed something
wasn't working

Maybe it was the admin piling up faster than you could clear it. Compliance deadlines quietly slipping. A creeping sense that the back-end of your organisation had come undone - and the people who should be across it, weren't. You knew something had to change. You just weren't sure what.

The plaster-fix

So you tried to
sort it yourself

You juggled it alongside everything else. Spread it across the team, added it to the running list of things you'd get to eventually, and told yourself it was under control. And for a while, it was - until the patches stopped holding and the gaps became too big to ignore.

The turning point

You realised the fix
wasn't enough

The workarounds stopped holding. What you needed wasn't another quick fix, or yet another task added to someone's already full plate. It was someone who actually knew this space - who could set things up properly and stay across them, without you having to manage it.

The search

You went looking
for the right support

Not a generalist. Not someone who'd need to be managed. You were looking for a specialist - someone who understood the full picture, could take ownership of it, and would handle it with the kind of precision that stops problems before they start.

Working with Kirsten Winter

Which is how
you got here

One expert who connects everything together. Governance, compliance, secretarial, finance - handled with precision, so nothing falls through the gaps and you can focus on the work that actually needs you.

What i Offer

Four kinds of work,

one dependable pair of hands.

Engage one area or all four - whatever's landing hardest on your desk right now.

“What’s eating your week?”

Objective

The day-to-day load that eats your week - inbox and workflow, client and supplier admin, scheduling, follow-ups and the loose ends. Handled reliably, on time.

“Are the books ready for scrutiny?”

Objective

Xero bookkeeping, accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliation, iPayroll and payday filing - your numbers kept tidy, accurate and audit-ready year-round.

“Would this hold up if someone checked?”

Objective

Statutory filings, records and registers kept current and aligned with NZ law - plus board and committee support like agendas, minutes and action tracking when you need it.

“What happens if you’re not in the room?”

Objective

Where things live in your head or in chaos, we document them - practical processes, templates and simple working systems, so the work is repeatable and no longer depends on any one person.

How I Work

Six things you can count on.

The way I work is built around the things I know boards and owners have been burned by before.

01

No instruction manuals required.

02

Nothing missed. Nothing late.

03

Compliance without the anxiety.

04

Records built to survive scrutiny.

05

Systems that survive staff changes.

06

An organisation free to grow, because the admin is off your plate.

Who I WorkWith

Regional NZ, front and centre.

My clients are the boards, business owners and committee leaders who keep regional New Zealand running - the ones who need senior support but not a senior salary, and who value getting compliance right.

I'm based in Te Puke and work across the wider Bay of Plenty, with most work done remotely and onsite when it counts - a key board meeting or AGM. I also support organisations remotely right across the country.

01. Boards, societies, committees

Domain boards, incorporated societies, community trusts and non-profits needing dependable secretariat and governance.

02. Small and medium businesses

Owners of lean 1-50 staff businesses carrying too much back-office load, who want it handled without another payroll line.

03. ECE, rural & sector groups

Early learning centres, rural societies, catchment groups and agri organisations with their own compliance rules.

Track Record

Organisations I've held the records for.

Not stock logos - real Bay of Plenty boards, societies and centres I've served as Secretary, Treasurer or coordinator.

Bledisloe Park Domain Board

Secretary & Treasurer

Statutory board management, financial reporting, minutes and governance for a domain board.

Waihi Drainage District Society

Secretary & Treasurer

Rural society governance, Xero reconciliation and committee administration under the Incorporated Societies Act.

Giggles Te Puke Early Learning Cente

Governance Support & Office Manager

ECE administration, Ministry of Education compliance, Infocare management and payroll support.

BOP Ballance Farm Environment Awards

Regional Coordinator

Agricultural stakeholder management, regional event coordination and project delivery across the Bay of Plenty.

The Tools I Use

Fluent in the systems you already use.

No training required, no learning curve on your time. I work inside your own cloud accounts, so your data always stays yours.

Using something not on this list? If its a tool I don't already know, it's one I'll learn on the job - at no cost to you.

Get Started

Get the support your organisation need to stay ahead.

If you're been carrying something you shouldn't have to, that's exactly the sort of thing I'm good at picking up. Book a call and we'll talk through it.
